The Manifesto
Chocolate is one of the world's best-loved foods but few people are really familiar with this product, its characteristics and potential.
Not only is chocolate currently the product with the greatest development potential for the entire Italian food and wine sector, but it can also play the role of cultural driver.
Chocolate is social responsibility
and sustainability.
Chocolate production, like all food supply chains, has an impact on the planet's resources, including forests.
To ensure that all actors in the supply chain can earn a fair income, it is necessary to engage in responsible labour practices, protect the environment and provide for the basic needs for health, education and welfare of the families living on the agricultural production of the cocoa plant.
The sustainability of a product has long been one of the pillars guiding consumer choice, which is why it is of paramount importance to engage in communicating what chocolate really is and what the environmental and social impact of its production is.
Chocolate is health.
Chocolate is a food that unleashes incredible sensations that turn into different memories and visions for everyone.
As it slowly melts in the mouth, it stimulates the production of serotonin, commonly known as the feel-good hormone, linked to feelings of contentment and well-being.
Chocolate, particularly dark chocolate, is a healthy, completely vegetable-based food, rich in vitamins and minerals useful for our organism.
The polyphenols contained in this food, in particular flavonoids, due to their strong antioxidant power counteract free radicals (the harmful molecules generated in the body's metabolism processes), thus having a beneficial effect on our cardiovascular system.
